AllGear Digital is seeking a high-energy, versatile, and passionate Social Media & Email Marketing Specialist to help grow our AllGear group of digital media publications, which includes category leaders such as GearJunkie, Bikerumor and The Inertia. You’ll help to increase user engagement through effective social media postings and email newsletter campaigns. In this position, you’ll identify audience trends, monitor content performance and adapt to a changing landscape on the platform and brand level. The ideal candidate for this position has experience working for digital publications and creating content, and they are passionate about gear and/or the active, outdoor lifestyle.This is a full-time, hybrid role with the expectation of working in our Los Angeles, CA office 3 days a week.Responsibilities Social Media Postings.Drive traffic to our websites through social media organic and sponsored postings on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Threads and TikTok, relying on best practices per platform to obtain success. Community Engagement . Respond to comments on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Threads and TikTok in personable, humorous manners consistent with brand voice. Respond to social media posts on other outdoor accounts. Social Media Content Creation . Use software applications (e.g., meme-making and video editing apps) to create brand-appropriate, short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok, as well as buzz-worthy static memes. Social Media Content Sourcing.Curate top performing outdoor content from small and large content creators to feature in collaboration with our pages. Email Newsletter Campaigns.Build email newsletter campaigns featuring top stories using attractive headlines and eye-catching images to achieve optimal engagement. Ensure quality and accuracy of copy, and timely and accurate distribution to subscribers. Audience Reporting . Review weekly and monthly data from social media platforms and email newsletter platforms to ensure we are growing and optimizing regularly. Editorial Team Collaboration.Create reports for the editorial teams that identify the “why” behind the success of campaigns and how to improve neutral-performing campaigns. Be a marketing resource for the teams in bi-weekly meetings.Requirements
