Position Type: Full-time (Hybrid Remote)

Salary: $40,000.00 to $43,000.00 (based on experience)

Job Summary

As the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and supporting marketing, communications, and engagement strategies within the Advancement Department.

Social Media

How You Will Make a Difference:

Manage our organization's social media presence, including planning, creating, and scheduling posts to increase followers and engagement.

Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.

Assist team members in capturing basic photography or video for social media posts and other written content.

Writer/Editor

Contribute as a story collector, interviewer, writer, and proofreader for newsletters, e-newsletters, award nominations, and various marketing and communications materials.

Assist in developing content for the website and quarterly newsletter.

Community Engagement

Coordinate and execute both internal and external participation in community and disability sector events to enhance our organization's brand, increase awareness, engage the community, and support our goals.

Organize staffing, logistics, displays, and other materials needed for events.

Act as a brand ambassador at various events and track and report on event results.

Disability Advocacy

Assist the Marketing & Communications Manager in monitoring disability-related policy developments through our trade associations.

Communicate action alerts or advocacy events/activities to staff and stakeholders.

Update legislative contact lists and stay informed about new and changing legislative bills, resolutions, and laws regarding people with disabilities.

What You Will Bring To Opportunity Partners

A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

Minimum of three months of professional experience in communications, public relations, community engagement, or a similar role.

Excellent written and communication skills.

A self-starter with initiative, curiosity, and a desire to learn.

Enjoy working both collaboratively and independently.

Strong time management and organizational skills.
