JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State College of Medicine, Center for Cannabinoids and Natural Product Pharmaceutics, in Hershey, PA is seeking to hire a part-time Administrative Support Assistant. This position will be primarily responsible for providing high-level support to its leadership, partners, and staff while handling the general administrative functions of the Center.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to answering, assisting, and directing all incoming telephone calls to the appropriate parties, calendar management (scheduling internal and external appointments and meetings) and organizing emails, coordinating travel arrangements, assisting with planning the Center’s annual retreat, preparation of the quarterly Center newsletter, office and laboratory supplies management (monitoring and maintaining inventory for the Center’s lab supply center), and assisting Center members with biosafety, IACUC, and IRB protocols.
The Administrative Support Assistant will provide administrative support for the Director and Scientific Director of the Center, as well as, collaborate and support the Center’s group membership. In addition, this assistant will be coordinating approvals, manuscripts, and grant submissions across the Penn State campuses (Harrisburg, University Park, and Hershey).
Experience or knowledge of Shop OnLion, CATS, SAP CONCUR, PO requests, iLab, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

- Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
