Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Marketing Specialist at Vode Lighting. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day marketing tasks, graphic design support, on-site event coordination, marketing inventory management, conducting market research, providing customer service, and assisting in sales and marketing efforts. The role will be based in Sonoma, CA with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with copywriting and proofreading
- Experience in conducting market research
- Must have strong analytical skills to analyze metrics and create reports
- Strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail
- Understanding of marketing principles and sales & marketing processes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience with various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing
- Knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools
- Experience with corporate graphic design
- Must have a high level of creativity
- Occasional travel may be required

Responsibilities
- Assist with the marketing initiatives through the production / tracking of marketing programs such as event, social media, or content marketing
- Assist with coordinating marketing events, including overseeing logistics, completing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and ordering giveaway merchandise
- Be present on-site during factory visits to assist with hosting/coordination of guests and their needs
- Assist with coordinating / producing email marketing campaigns, including scheduling, testing, and database management
- Assist with developing and maintaining social media marketing programs, including blogs and public relations efforts
- Assist with evaluating and monitoring campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports
- Assist with managing relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs to ensure competitiveness
- Assist in producing and editing marketing presentations
- Assist with conducting market research and identify lighting marketing trends
- Assist with accomplishing organizational goals by accepting ownership for completing new and different requests
- Assist with maintaining social media, newsletter, blog platforms, and database systems
- Provide strong client support and coordination for customers
- Assist with performing analysis from questionnaires to understand customer needs
- Assist with product award submissions and coordination
- Assist with file management and organization, including creation and implementation of file inventory identification system
- Provide graphic design production assistance via Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD)
- Manage on-site marketing inventory room - tracking/maintaining inventory levels of marketing displays and promotional merchandise
- Coordinate / maintain Adobe Workfront marketing request / project details and assignments
- Assist in supporting sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analysis, and new product information
