Position Highlights This position supports the daily operations of the Department of Biomedical Engineering by providing Operations assistance to the Department Head. Performs a variety of administrative, business, and logistical duties. Serves as point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors and coordinates the schedule and meetings for the Dept. Head. Supports accounting, budgeting, auditing, and other financial or related functions to ensure the financial integrity of the department.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Department Head administrative support.
- Coordinates departmental projects and workflows.
- Support for BME Faculty (Interface to the Old Engineering Business Center teams: HR, Post Award Accounting, etc).
- Committees scheduling and recording meetings.
- Organizational support for Dept. Seminars.
- Graduation and event support.
- Alumni tracking.
- Monthly faculty meetings organization and minutes.
- Preparation of annual or semiannual newsletter.
- Monthly faculty meetings organization and minutes.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft office and Adobe acrobat applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- One year of relevant work experience may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project coordination is preferred.
- Project coordination software experience is preferred.
