- Description:* Assumes responsibility and oversight for all accounting activities related to the construction subsidiary. Supervises the duties of all accounting staff. Responsible for and main contact person for all internal software programs and hardware.
- Responsibilities include supervising accounting staff in hiring, training, disciplining, terminations, and performance evaluations.
- Oversees the preparation of reports including, revenue audits, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventories, shipping/receiving, , audits and bank statements
- Responsible for the monthly and quarterly financial statements to include initial review and responding to management and customer inquiries
- Preparation of general ledger accounts reconciliations, including fixed assets ledger, insurance, taxes, property management, deferred expenses, leases, expense pro-ratios and allocations, prepays, budget variances, analysis and reports
- Prepares weekly payroll
- Works collaboratively with the human resources management relative to payroll, increases, etc
- Prepares budget updates and reviews
- Processes accounting documents and payrolls consistent with the contract terms for each project
- Secondary Functions:*
- General ledger journal preparations, audits and analysis as required
- Writing of departmental procedures as required
- Works collaboratively with external and internal auditors
- Participation in all personnel-related program s(i.e., employee incentive programs, orientation, newsletter submissions) and schedules regular department meetings

- Proficient in reviewing and analyzing journal entries, general ledgers, construction software, revenue audits, accounting procedures and audit principals

- Possesses a working knowledge of various payroll platforms and working with the payroll personnel to achieve accurate payroll cycles
- Accurate and timely handling of accounting entries and reconciliations
- Proficient in the use of MS Office
- Excellent supervision/managerial skills required
- Excellent communication skills (including listening, writing and speaking) required
- Public relations skills
- Ability to follow and give directions
- Ability to problem-solve and find solutions to complex situations
