Corporate Communications Specialist

Summary

The Corporate Communications Specialist, reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, will focus on developing creative, compelling content for a wide range of internal and external communications channels and audiences while supporting campaigns and managing various projects to enhance employee communication, agency engagement and recognition. The Corporate Communications Specialist will assist in promoting NTTA’s Mission: Forward culture initiative and annual employee survey. Writing tasks will include, but not be limited to, employee announcements, memos, engagement, intranet, newsletter, promotional flyers, and wall monitors slides, and other agency promotions. This position will collaborate closely with the Manager, Corporate Communications, the Public Affairs department, and graphic designer to develop creative campaigns to support agency engagement with internal and external audiences. This position will also provide support to the Public Affairs department with various tasks and projects for internal and external audiences as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Helps plan, develop, and deploy engaging, dynamic communications via multiple channels to keep employees informed about company announcements and promote NTTA’s mission, strategic goals, corporate culture initiatives and recognize and reinforce exemplary core value behavior/achievements.
  • Collaborates with the Public Affairs department and graphic designer to develop visually dynamic, compelling employee communications (graphics and video) and engage NTTA’s external audiences.
  • Collects all metrics available and help develop/deploy employee feedback tactics to regularly evaluate effectiveness of employee communications; research and implement new opportunities to improve communications for all channels.
  • Works with team members to help develop content and themes for external communications promoting NTTA’s safety programs and customer offerings.
  • Assists in editing of other department materials.
  • Helps implement activities (such as team building workshops) to engage staff, increase employees’ brand awareness and positive corporate culture.
  • Provides communications support for the Employee Steering Committee and other departments’ employee engagement activities as directed by the Manager, Corporate Communications.
  • Aid and supports community relations events as needed.
  • Helps organize employee event logistics, related communications, and program evaluation.
  • Supports communications and planning for NTTA’s Mission: Forward culture initiative, including developing content and activities for departments to ensure consistent discussion and help sustain momentum for the program.
  • Promotes the annual employee engagement survey to gather employee feedback regarding the initiative.
  • Helps create content for various external audiences and channels as needed.
  • Supports external events as needed. This includes, but is not limited to, community events, sponsorships, and road openings.
  • Helps manage Employee Feedback email by responding to employees, providing feedback, and distributing received communication to the appropriate parties.

Qualifications

M inimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience successfully developing multi-channel communications for various audiences in multifunctional communications unit.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and SharePoint.

Preferred

  • Experience developing and editing video.
