Shorr Packaging has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Specialist, Corporate Communications to lead our corporate communications and branding program. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist, Corporate Communications develops strategic and tactical communications plans and content designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and have impeccable communication & leadership skills.

Shorr Packaging has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Specialist, Corporate Communications to lead our corporate communications and branding program. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist, Corporate Communications develops strategic and tactical communications plans and content designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and have impeccable communication & leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the content being generated to support marketing efforts across Shorr’s organization is strong, consistent, and reflects the brand.
- Collaborate with an extensive team of subject matter experts (SMEs) to curate ideas and write/drive the development of impactful content
- Continually research, explore, and recommend new and enhanced communications engagement platforms and strategies to improve the company's communications engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop collateral, blogs, email campaigns, web copy, case studies, video scripts, and other content that drive audience engagement, SEO relevance, and brand excellence
- Work with web team to upload content to the site as required
- Execute the company newsletter and other product promotion assets
- Develop and analyze Dashboards and Reports within Salesforce
- Conduct market research to build and deploy marketing campaigns
- Build and manage supplier relationships
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, business, or related field with at least 5+ years of marketing communications/writing experience required
- Demonstrated experience supporting content development, writing, and editing projects
- Demonstrated team player who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment where prioritizing and multi-tasking are the norm
- Strong writer and marketing strategist who can collaborate with product marketers to translate technical jargon into stories and assets that drive business value for our prospects and customers
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are mandatory
- Ability to proactively set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate completion of responsibilities; ability to keep multiple projects in process simultaneously
- Must be comfortable working with executives, presenting event-related plans and reports
- Self-motivated; not afraid to ask questions; able to take initiative, anticipate needs, work independently, and carry projects through to completion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be customer-driven and able to interface with both internal and external clients including leadership
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
- Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier
- CRM, Salesforce preferred, experience is a plus
- WordPress experience is a plus
- Able and willing to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
