Digital Communications Assistant
Job Description
DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT, Center for International Studies (CIS) , to support the creation and distribution of written, visual, and multimedia content at the center. Responsibilities include creating visual content for newsletters, website, events, and digital displays to support the work at CIS; helping produce engaging social media assets for CIS flagship outlets including X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube; helping maintain production calendars for newsletter emails, website, social media, and events; tracking analytics for newsletters and websites and assisting with regular reporting; sourcing images and video for communications activities and helping maintain design/photo/video assets; updating website; coordinating with vendors on producing communications materials and assisting with the organization of photo and film shoots; and performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED : high school diploma or its equivalent; three years of communication and/or administrative experience; keen attention to detail; strong analytical, time-management, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team; knowledge of a range of communications platforms; proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, web content management systems, email marketing tools, and Microsoft Office; and ability to learn new tools as needed. PREFERRED : bachelor's degree in a related field; interest in international activities and programming; and experience with print/digital design, photography, or video production and editing. May work occasional evenings or weekends to participate in or provide support for events/programs. This is a hybrid position. The schedule will vary based on activities.
