Position: Assistant Editor

Hours: Part-time; 20 hours per week

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

AQUA Magazine is looking for a talented individual to join our editorial team. In particular, we’re looking for someone who can write/assist in feature stories for our monthly publication, as well as smaller articles for our twice-weekly e-newsletter. This person would also help to upload content to our website, help to manage our "New Products" section, and help to monitor our social media channels.

This is a fairly entry-level position; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Ideally, this candidate will be with us for the long haul and will see their responsibilities and job title grow over time.

Desired skills:

• Experience writing and editing content; bonus if experience with AP style
• Experience working with content management systems
• Social media management
• Willingness to take initiative and go beyond basic instructions (creativity is welcome)
• Attention to detail, accuracy in reporting
• Ability to juggle several projects and multitask
• Appetite to learn the ins and outs of the magazine industry
