The Digital Content Coordinator creates or curates digital media such as articles, podcasts, bios, lists, photography, videos, sound clips, music, and others. Posts content to the ONS and ONS Voice websites coordinates the ONS Voice electronic newsletters, produces and distributes Oncology Nursing Podcast episodes, and develops other audiovisual media as assigned. Prepares or edits Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) team materials and assists other ONSE teams with writing and editing.

This is a full-time REMOTE (work-from-home) position. Occasional travel to the ONSE Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA throughout the year will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Creates or curates digital media such as articles, podcasts, bios, lists, photography, videos, sound clips, music, and other content for ONS Voice and other publications as assigned
    • Posts and distributes content
  • Maintains ONS Voice digital content
    • Creates and updates webpages as assigned
    • Assists with design, imagery, and web layout
    • Creates and distributes the weekly e-newsletter (eNL)
    • Records eNL engagement and web traffic in assigned reports
  • Produces, maintains, and distributes Oncology Nursing Podcast episodes and other audiovisual media as assigned
    • Serves as the primary point of contact for subject matter experts and the primary coordinator among the cross-departmental staff team
    • Answers and resolves content-related questions and issues.
  • Writes about and creates digital content as assigned for events, products, and members’ work as assigned for ONS Voice and the IMC team
    • Edits IMC coordinators’ work for marketing campaigns and assists with writing or creating additional digital content for marketing campaigns as assigned
    • Rewrite copy for clarification and conformation to ONS voice and style
  • Assists other ONSE teams and volunteer leaders with creating digital content for and editing assignments on current events and late-breaking news

  • Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Audition, content management systems (e.g., Drupal), Google Analytics, email marketing platforms (e.g., Magnet Mail, HubSpot), and social media platforms
  • Working knowledge of audio production, sound engineering, and podcast best practices
  • Strong knowledge of grammar, proofreading, writing, and editing
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills, including answering questions from customers or the business community
  • Ability to write news and feature articles, reports, press releases, correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific journals, health policy, financial reports, and technical information

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or a related area of study
  • 1-3 years of content development experience. Experience with podcast and video production and graphic design is highly preferred

Pay Range:

Oncology Nursing Society Enterprise (ONSE) uses a market-based approach to pay. Pay rates are established considering the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified periodically based on market analysis.

Anticipated Pay Range: $43,923 to $51,060 annually
