Description

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Account Management Director to join our sales team and help build the account management function within our fast-growing Brand Partnerships department. The ideal candidate will be vital in driving revenue growth through delivering top-notch client service, resulting in successfully delivered campaigns and leading to strong renewals and upsell opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Source, Hire, and manage a team of top-performing Account Managers.
  • Clearly understand AM's roles and responsibilities in modern media organizations to develop, manage, and refine the day-to-day operations of the Account Management team.
  • Act as a mentor to team members on a one-to-one basis.
  • Collaborate with clients to effectively track and optimize real-time campaign performance to ensure pacing towards guarantees within campaign flight.
  • Serve as an escalation point of contact for campaign-related and technical issues.
  • Stay informed on media-related trends, platform updates and emerging partner solutions.
  • Provide strategic media distribution recommendations to internal and external teams to help effectively achieve client KPIs while best managing internal profitability.
  • Understand client objectives and proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Join sales calls/meetings and contribute by communicating media and distribution-related questions clearly and effectively.
  • Create and present wrap reports for partners detailing the effectiveness of their campaigns and suggested optimizations for future success.
  • Through monthly and quarterly feedback sessions, act as the holistic voice of the account management team to the executive staff.
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to ensure accounts and teams are resourced to maximize positive impact with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Ability to recognize and identify performance trends across accounts and teams to optimize FOS partnerships and discover new upsell opportunities.
  • Ability to establish and build a culture of sharing that allows for best-in-class work to be recognized and procured for the enhancement of FOS partnerships.
  • Identify areas of skill development for your team while partnering with FOS leadership on individual Account Manager career pathing, performance management, and overall growth of the account management team.
  • Lead projects involving complex work streams and cross-functional internal and external collaboration that evolve the sales team structure, account coverage, and client needs.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management within the sports media or entertainment industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adaptable to changes
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
  • Ability to lead multiple projects with strong attention to detail
  • Expert understanding of media management, campaign diagnostics, and optimization
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify critical opportunities and transform them into action
  • Impressive relationship-building skills and strong presentation & communication skills with senior-level executives both internally and externally
