Construction Project Assistant

Konik is partnering with a local curtainwall company seeking to add a Construction Project Assistant to their team. In this role, you will assist Project Managers and Superintendents in managing small to mid-size curtainwall, glass, and glazing projects from fabrication through construction. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience coordinating projects in the construction industry.

Construction Project Assistant Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with various project stakeholders, such as the project manager, superintendent, design firm, architects, engineers, etc., to ensure a successful project.
• Create and build positive working relationships with internal and external customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Assist in managing procurement schedule and project budgets, reporting issues, and seeking resolution in a timely manner.
• Manage submittal and shop drawing review, Requests for Information (RFIs), material procurement, and tracking.
• Assist in the fabrication release package.
• Manage the closeout process efficiently.
• Conduct field measurements and modify shop drawings as needed.
  
  

Construction Project Assistant Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in Construction Management is preferred but not required.
• 1+ years of construction project coordination experience; ideal candidates will have supported glazing or facade projects or worked for a general contractor.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Outlook), Scheduling Software (e.g., I.E. Project or Smart Sheet), and PDF Markup.
• Ability to correctly read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications .
• Exceptional organizational skills are essential.
• Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
