Position Overview

McKinney Specialty Labs is seeking a Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and expanding our market presence for both our world-class laboratory and affiliated regulatory & scientific consulting company.

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that build awareness of our capabilities and reinforce our leadership position in helping nicotine and legal cannabis-derived product marketers bring less harmful products to market.

This position will report directly to the Chief Regulatory Science Officer who leads the Business Development and Scientific Engagement team and is based in Richmond, Virginia.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Nurturing

  • Develop and implement lead generation campaigns targeting relevant audiences.
  • Enable sales representatives to nurture leads through strategic follow-ups, personalized communication, and relationship-building.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to qualified lead to customer.

Trade Show Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute our participation in numerous industry-specific trade shows and conferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design engaging booth displays, promotional materials, and giveaways.
  • Manage all applications for executive team speaking, presentation, and panel participant roles at high profile industry events.

Website Content Updates

  • Regularly update and optimize our company website with relevant content.
  • Ensure accurate and compelling information about our services, certifications, and expertise.

Online SEO and Advertising

  • Optimize our online presence through effective search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.
  • Manage online advertising campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Analyze performance data and refine strategies based on results.

Newsletters

  • Create and manage a regular newsletter to keep clients, prospects, and industry stakeholders informed.
  • Curate content related to laboratory testing, regulatory updates, and industry trends.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and adjust content accordingly.

Sales Materials

  • Develop compelling sales collateral, including brochures, presentations, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with design resources to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
  • Provide sales representatives with the tools they need to effectively communicate our value proposition.

Necessary Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Proven success in B2B marketing, preferably in the scientific or healthcare industry
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven success in SEO management strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and/or similar CRM platforms strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with WordPress content management system preferred
  • Knowledge of nicotine and legal cannabis industries is preferred
