Responsibilities

As a Training Program Coordinator, you will oversee all store training program activities by motivating, encouraging, and providing a safe atmosphere for all participants. You'll be responsible for recruiting all mentors and coaches as well as scheduling, implementing, overseeing, and growing all training programs. The Training Program Coordinator is friendly and outgoing, comfortable speaking in front of large groups, and promotes positive experiences for all participants. You will secure all venues, provide weekly communication to program participants, manage a budget, and work with the Marketing Director to promote Fleet Feet products and services to our participants. As a Training Program Coordinator, you’ll be joining a team and community that ignites and supports running and fitness through social experiences. We pride ourselves on putting people first and know that what we do each day does not happen anywhere else, for staff, customers, or training program participants.

  • Reports to all runs and events in-person, building relationships with program participants
  • Maintains program requirements (pace, distance)
  • Creates and manages training program budget
  • Builds training plans, organizes pace teams, coordinates water stops, creates cue sheets for run routes, and updates RunGo
  • Designs and verifies running routes, obtaining permits when necessary
  • Composes weekly emails to program participants
  • Recruits staff and customers for training program support, clearly communicating needs and expectations
  • Creates and updates registration pages, website, store/staff newsletter, and social posts
  • Collaborates with Marketing Director on promotional materials and other creative needs
  • Teams up with vendors to plan clinics and procure products
  • Conveys key training program details to store managers and staff
  • Moves and transports supplies as required (30+ lbs.)
  • Supports all Fleet Feet initiatives, activities, and functions


Qualifications

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Coaching or personal training experience preferred
  • RRCA or USATF coaching certifications preferred
  • Current standard first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillation (AED) certifications
  • Communicates with internal and external parties in a professional and timely manner
  • Outgoing, positive, and supportive
  • Self-driven, decisive, detail and process-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Solid understanding of Social Media and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint),
  • Willingness to go above and beyond when needed
  • Delivers the best customer experience

Additional Requirements: Hours of work for this position may vary based on work schedule. Position requires moving around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break.. Occasional moderate to heavy (10-30+lb) lifting and carrying, bending and reaching overhead may be required. Work environment includes substantial communication with customers and potentially slippery surfaces.
