The opportunity:

Flexport is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Content Marketing Manager to join our growing team. Content Marketing at Flexport is a highly collaborative role – you’ll partner closely with teammates in Sales, Communications, Marketing, Design, and Growth. This unique role requires a blend of creativity, editorial judgment, strategic thinking, and strong project management skills to build content and campaigns to further Flexport’s brand objectives. You will leverage your content skills to create long and short-form content to educate our prospects and customers on Flexport’s key value propositions, while also positioning the company as an industry thought leader. You will tap into your project management chops and serve as the linchpin for developing creative marketing campaigns that drive Flexport’s growth and brand value. You will also oversee Flexport’s social media presence and create compelling content across social media platforms to engage our target audiences and grow brand awareness.

You will:

  • Develop compelling content for Flexport’s owned channels such as website, blog, newsletter, and customer emails.
  • Develop and implement Flexport’s social media strategy and create content for our social media platforms to engage our target audiences and grow brand awareness.
  • Build long-form content to further Flexport’s brand narrative and position the company as a market leader, such as writing customer case studies and publishing insights on industry trends.
  • Manage creative marketing campaigns that bring to life Flexport’s value propositions for our customers. You will be the linchpin who drives these campaigns from start to finish – writing the copy, project managing, adapting the voice to different audiences, and partnering with Design and Growth teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of assets.
  • Build and maintain a robust, centralized knowledge hub that will equip Sales, Marketing, and Communications functions with the latest and greatest about Flexport.
  • Maintain a quarterly editorial calendar that includes long-form campaigns and individual story ideas for various owned channels.
  • Analyze and optimize content performance across Flexport’s owned channels and test new ways to drive organic traffic and engagement.
  • Define and track key metrics that measure the success of Flexport’s content and marketing strategies.

You should have:

  • 5-7+ years' relevant experience in content marketing, brand marketing, communications or journalism.
  • Strong writing skills in both long-form and short-form content, such as social posts, website content, newsletters, and customer case studies. You know how to adapt your writing for different platforms and audiences.
  • Excellent project management skills: you know how to manage complex projects, multiple stakeholders and competing priorities to create an actionable plan and get the most impactful work done.
  • Deep understanding of what makes compelling content. You have the ability to think strategically how to leverage different channels to maximize the reach and impact of the content.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal stakeholders and driving complex projects and campaigns in a fast-paced organization.
  • A true team player: you’re always willing to jump in and help out. Flexport is a highly cross-functional company that requires effective collaboration to drive company-wide results.
  • Bias for action: you have a passion for rolling up your sleeves and getting things done on a small but mighty team.
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
