Editorial Internship: Copy-editing, Writing, or Operations (6 Months)

GoodRx New York, NY

GoodRx is America’s healthcare marketplace. Each month, millions of people visit goodrx.com to find reliable health information and discounts for their healthcare — and we’ve helped people save $60 billion since 2011. We provide prescription discounts that are accepted at more than 70,000 pharmacies in the U.S., as well as telehealth services including doctor visits and lab tests. Our services have been positively reviewed by Good Morning America, The New York Times, NBC News, AARP, and many others.

Our goal is to help Americans find convenient and affordable healthcare. We offer solutions for consumers, employers, health plans, and anyone else who shares our desire to provide affordable prescriptions to all Americans.

We are a digital publication that covers consumer healthcare in a clear, concise, and well-researched way that facilitates better decision-making. Our coverage areas include Clinical, Well-being, Pharmacy, Health Personal Finance, Health Advocacy, Pet Health, and Patient Experiences. Affordability and accessibility are core issues for us--and we routinely cover cost and insurance coverage, as well as the social determinants of health.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are core values for our publication. Through building a diverse workforce we will be able to provide the best health information for a wide variety of communities, with a particular focus on those who are underserved. Your participation in our internship program not only enriches our team but helps us elicit new areas of coverage for our health content.

As part of our process, we do extensive fact-checking, reference list creation, and quality assurance work. This internship will primarily be oriented around these tasks, but will also offer additional opportunities to learn about various aspects of health publishing--including the potential to get a few byline opportunities of your own. Our previous interns have copy edited articles and written about a wide range of topics, including Medicare Advantage plans, Native Hawaiian healing practices, and the best time to stretch.

Our team includes medical and pharmacy editors who are licensed physicians and pharmacists, as well as experienced journalists and content creators. We also work closely with our newsletter, design, research, and video teams.

We would love to teach you about publishing--and to learn more about your interests, skills and career goals. Join us!
