Position Overview
As a Digital Content and Communications Specialist, you will be an integral part of our M/OAA Communications team, which serves as the Agency's Industry Liaison. This role involves managing the WorkwithUSAID.gov platform and various social media channels while assisting with general communications activities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the unsolicited proposals and application portal on WorkwithUSAID.gov.
Assist in managing WorkwithUSAID.gov information, including partner directory profiles.
Draft and edit written materials such as talking points, blogs, and other communications for internal and external stakeholders.
Track and coordinate M/OAA communications, including official reports, audits, Congressional inquiries, and media requests.
Research, develop, and coordinate social media content across Work with USAID social media channels.
Support the development and execution of the Industry Liaison Communications and Engagement Strategy.
Coordinate content for a weekly internal newsletter.
Attend meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and brief the Industry Liaison on M/OAA-related matters.
Perform other duties as assigned by the M/OAA Communication Director or Director of M/OAA, including special projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree with at least one year of professional, relevant work experience.
Possess or be eligible to receive a Facilities Access Clearance.
Strong proofreading and editing capabilities with knowledge of proper grammar and punctuation.
Ability to synthesize documents and understand key areas of information.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Understanding of social networking tools.
Ability to analyze situations, define issues, and draw conclusions.
Strong time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, set priorities, and work independently.
Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe tools is highly desirable.
