The Role:

McCann Worldgroup is seeking an Internal Communications Manager. The Global Communications team directs internal and external communications efforts to ensure all messaging is aligned across the business. The Internal Communications Manager, McCann Worldgroup is responsible for assisting the global team in carrying out various communication responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator, project manager, extremely well organized and have the ability to execute at both a strategic and tactical level. The candidate must also be passionate about internal communications, energetic, flexible, and able to multi-task and prioritize between multiple projects.



What You Will Do:

The Internal Communications Manager will be required to:

  • Create and manage Internal Communications to engage employees across McCann Worldgroup. This includes partnering with teams across the business globally to develop communications and messages to help effectively communicate programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Partner with teams across the business to develop communication plans.
  • Manage global email communications, including writing and sending, and managing multiple mailboxes.
  • Create and manage the global weekly newsletter, partnering with teams to source and write content, post to the intranet, and send.
  • Help manage other newsletters and content from across the business and Corporate Communications team on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Own the facilitation and coordination of multiple global internal events monthly, both virtual and in-person. Coordinate with IT and other internal stakeholders on event management including set-up, and pre and post communications.
  • Help project manage other company-wide internal events, as needed.
  • Build & maintain communications calendar, helping to determine time, cadence & flow for all internal communication campaigns and events globally.
  • Manage the global intranet including drafting stories and content to post weekly, manage updates to the site, and partner with IT and Communications Director on intranets set-up and guidance across the business.
  • Manage metrics reports and analytics.
  • Support senior executive global communication priorities and messaging.
  • Help support local office communications as needed.



Who You Will Be:


To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable previous relevant experiences and skills with the following:


Key Skills

  • Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism.
  • 5-7 years of experience in internal communications, advertising, marketing, communications and/or public relations.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, comfortable asking questions and diligent follow up; proven project management skills.
  • Must be collaborative and have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify, communicate and resolve problems.
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote) required.
  • SharePoint or other CMS experience, a plus.
  • Must have the ability to stay calm and efficient under intense deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working and communicating with senior leadership.
  • Flexibility with evening working hours, if business requires.
  • Passionate and love of internal communications!


Salary Range: 90k – 105k
