The Marketing and Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing the online presence of CASA for Kids of East Texas and engaging the community. This individual will manage various digital platforms, create compelling digital and print marketing materials, oversee the organization’s website, manage online and electronic portions of fundraising and donations, and stay updated on electronic methods to meet organizational objectives effectively. The ideal candidate will possess creativity, technical skills, and strategic thinking to drive the organization’s mission forward.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Management:

·       Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and event promotion and drive traffic to the organization’s platforms.

·       Create and curate engaging content for various social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.

·       Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content performance and enhance audience reach.

·       Respond to online inquiries and comments promptly and professionally.

·       Liaison with external marketing consulting group.

·       Manage social media calendar.

2. Website Management:

·       Maintain and update the organization’s website to reflect current programs, events, and initiatives.

·       Monitor website traffic and user behavior using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement and optimize conversion rates.

3. Marketing Material Creation:

·       Design and produce marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, newsletters, and digital advertisements, to promote the organization’s mission, events, and fundraising campaigns.

·       Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all marketing collateral.

4. Donor Platform Management:

·       Manage digital platforms and tools to facilitate online donations and optimize the donation process for donors.

·       Implement strategies to cultivate relationships with donors and increase donor retention and acquisition.

·       Coordinate electronic portions of fundraisers including annual auction and social media fundraiser, crowdfunding campaigns, and donation drives.

5. Electronic Engagement:

·       Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing, communications, and fundraising.

·       Continuously explore and implement innovative ways to engage the public and enhance the organization’s online presence.

·       Recommend platforms and methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency.

·       Train staff on new techniques.

·       Assist in trouble-shooting routine IT and A/V operations. 

6. Newsletter Management:

·       Manage the creation, distribution, and promotion of digital and print newsletters to stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and supporters.

·       Collaborate with various staff to gather relevant content and updates for newsletters.

7. Other:

·          Provide backup for Community Engagement Associate on phone and doors.

·          Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field or equivalent training and experience.
  • Proven, current knowledge and experience in digital marketing, social media management, and communications, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), design software (e.g., Canva), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and experience with donor management platforms is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to pass criminal background checks.
  • Ability to work infrequent evenings and weekends.
  • Passion for the organization’s mission and commitment to positively impacting the community.
