Digital Director

The Galerie media brand is looking for a motivated and creative Digital Director to join our team and help us grow our online and social media presence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art and design as well as be able to build our content strategy across platforms in ways that speak to an audience of highly engaged cultural connoisseurs.


Responsibilities:

Manage digital and social calendars to increase traffic to galeriemagazine.com.

Analyze digital and social media metrics and provide regular reports on performance.

Write, edit, and build content for the brand’s website that maximize traffic.

Apply best practices with headline writing, SEO, and back-end content creation.

Create and manage content calendars for digital as well as various social media platforms (Instagram, Threads, X, and Facebook).

Manage promotional campaigns across social media channels to grow audience.

Execute strategic social media outreach surrounding issue launches and major Galerie programs including Creative Minds and Emerging Artists.

Oversee newsletter campaigns and strategy to maximize growth and keep audience engaged.

Spearhead special digital-only packages.

Suggest traffic-driving opportunities including brand partnerships and syndication.

Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and platforms, and apply new strategies to enhance the brand’s online presence.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute social media efforts with the marketing campaigns and initiatives of the brand’s partners.

Assist in the planning and execution of paid social media advertising campaigns.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in similar field desired.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to use social media analytics and reporting tools.

Experience using WordPress, Mail Chimp, and Later.

Proficient in using social media platforms and social media management tools.

Basic graphic design skills and knowledge of tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Familiarity with the worlds of art, design, travel, and culture.
