Job Description

The University of Florida Intelligent Clinical Care Center (IC 3 ) is currently seeking a student assistant to help plan, produce and publish content for the Intelligent Clinical Care Center’s social media channels and other communication outlets (e.g. newsletter and webpage). This assistant will work with IC 3 staff to produce content for the center’s website, as well as assist with publications and social media. This position will:

  • Keep social and communication content continually rich and engaging
  • Source social media content for the center’s Linkedin and Twitter accounts
  • Arrange social media planning and publishing calendars
  • Research and communicate opportunities to use trending topics on social media to tell IC 3 stories
  • Aid with sourcing ideas and producing content for the center’s website and newsletters
  • Assist with other projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Expected Salary

$15/hr

Minimum Requirements

  • This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to present new ideas and concepts
  • Must be able to work and multi-task independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or a related field
  • Proficiency with graphic design software, such as Canva and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Previous video production or editing experience

Special Instructions To Applicants

The incumbent will be expected to work onsite 10 to 20 hours per week during regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., excluding UF holidays). Applicants must upload a resume and cover letter to be considered for the position.
