Overview:

Join our team as a motivated and creative Short-form Video host. Responsible for developing high-quality content and assets for social platforms and collaborating closely with our dynamic team to craft compelling video content across platforms like TikTok, Reels, and YouTube. If you're passionate about sports and social media and ready to contribute to our exciting journey, we'd be thrilled to have you aboard.

The FOS Summer Internship Program is designed to provide undergraduate students in their final year of coursework with a comprehensive learning experience in the fast-paced world of sports media. Interns will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and gain valuable insights into various aspects of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our content team to conceive, produce, and edit short-form sports video content for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube platforms.
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative concepts for engaging sports-related video content tailored to our target audience.
  • Stay updated on sports industry trends, viral challenges, and popular content formats on social media platforms.
  • Assist in devising and executing content calendars to ensure consistent and timely delivery across social media channels.
  • Work closely with the team to curate relevant footage, images, and music to enhance the visual appeal of videos.
  • Edit and optimize each platform's videos, adhering to algorithm and audience behavior best practices.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and audience feedback to glean insights and refine content strategies.
  • Contribute to the growth of our social media channels by actively engaging with the audience and participating in relevant conversations.

Ideal Skills And Qualifications

  • Currently a rising Senior pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Media Studies)
  • Deep passion for sports and a solid grasp of sports culture, trends, and terminology.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube, along with an understanding of their content requirements and algorithms.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate original and engaging content ideas.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent quality across multiple videos.
  • Practical communication skills and a collaborative attitude conducive to teamwork.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and animation principles is desirable.
  • Experience managing a significant sports social media account is a plus.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous video content projects, even informal ones, will be highly regarded.
  • Bonus: Strong video editing skills and graphic design experience.
