Job Summary
BB&N is seeking full-time Education Fellows for the 2024-2025 academic year as part of BB&N’s Knight Corps cohort. Education Fellows are recent or soon-to-be college graduates who are interested in a career in education or other school-based roles. Education Fellows have an opportunity to observe BB&N’s best teaching practices and learn from experienced faculty and administrators and provide a wide range of support throughout various areas of the school. Through participation in Knight Corps cohort and mentoring meetings, there will be ample opportunities to gain the exposure necessary to evaluate a career either in teaching and learning or in other school-based roles. This is a one-year position with potential consideration for a second-year extension.

The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate The Following
All Education Fellows will be required to attend Knight Corps cohort and mentor meetings/seminars as scheduled, attend Faculty Professional Development Days, support BB&N’s mission, perform substitute teaching, arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and other support duties as assigned, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Specifically, Education Fellows will serve in one of the following roles:

All Education Fellows will be required to attend Knight Corps cohort and mentor meetings/seminars as scheduled, attend Faculty Professional Development Days, support BB&N’s mission, perform substitute teaching, arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and other support duties as assigned, and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Specifically, Education Fellows will serve in one of the following roles:
- The Lower, Middle, or Upper School Campus Fellow should have an interest in working directly with students and teachers in the classroom. The Campus Fellow will assist faculty in organizing and facilitating classes/activities on one of the three academic campuses. Responsibilities include supporting classrooms and operational and strategic functions of school life, as determined by programmatic and campus needs.
- The Admissions Fellow should have an interest in the independent school Admission process. This Fellow should be an independent worker with strong initiative, willing to engage/meet prospective families in person and virtually, willing to learn, and adaptable. Responsibilities include social media content fluency and generation for admissions and school-wide channels, planning and attending admissions events, including on select evenings and weekends, and marketing campaign content development, including photography and writing. In addition, this Fellow will support interviews, tours, and evaluations for prospective applicants for grades 7-12.
- The Advancement, Events, and Community Engagement Fellow should have an interest in learning about and engaging in advancement in independent schools. This Fellow should demonstrate an i nterest in event planning, working with volunteers, and engaging in social media platforms. In addition, this Fellow should demonstrate strong writing, communication, and organizational skills and experience with Google Workspace. Responsibilities include assistance leading up to and during alumni events, meetings, communications, database queries, and events setup/breakdown.
- The Athletics Fellow should have an interest in athletic administration. Ideally, this Fellow has the experience and/or interest in coaching and playing sports and supporting game day management and roster management. This Fellow should demonstrate strong organizational skills and some understanding of Google Workspace/Mac OS.
- The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education Fellow should have skills, interests, and competencies in DEI and or Global Education, including leadership or participation in any DEIG-oriented activities. This Fellow should be an independent worker with strong self-initiative, communication, and organization skills. Primary responsibilities include supporting DEIG events, managing the office email account, and writing and designing content for the team. The DEIG Office is team-oriented, and the Fellow should demonstrate collaboration. In addition, facilitation skills and experience are desirable.
- The Teaching & Learning and Institutional Research Fellow should have an interest in engaging in all-school work related to B-12 curriculum and pedagogy, professional growth and development, and institutional research. Primary responsibilities include partnering with the entire TLO team on a range of initiatives, including supporting professional development day preparation, managing the TLO newsletter, and engaging in other TLO projects depending on need and time of year. This Fellow should have strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Some experience with either quantitative or qualitative research methods and Google Workspace is desirable.
