ARC is looking for a Internal Communication Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in developing and executing communication campaigns and developing content that informs and educates employees about organizational programs and initiatives including our culture, business, and strategy. You will partner with executives and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to advise, design, and implement impactful strategic communication initiatives that inform and inspire employees and nurture ARC’s culture. You will deliver successful execution of ARC’s monthly all-hands staff meeting to ensure visibility into the company's performance, progress, and purpose. You will be instrumental in the creation of content for ARC’s employee newsletter. You will work closely with ARC’s Executive Team and have a direct impact on the employee experience, and both execute and drive strategic communication deliverables.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Create engaging internal communications campaigns and deliverables to support organization wide initiatives including employee engagement, change management, and culture building. Work with cross-functional team members to aggregate and prioritize key business updates, results, and insights for higher-visibility communications across ARC.
  • Consult and advise stakeholders on communication best practices.
  • Survey, evaluate, and recommend integrated technologies and solutions that support internal communications to foster engagement. Assess effectiveness of employee communication vehicles to increase engagement and retention of messages. Research, recommend and introduce new communication vehicles as needed to improve engagement and employee experience.
  • Support implementation of the internal communications strategy process and programs, manage the editorial calendar, and ensure the most important messages get to our employees and that our mission, values and DEI focus are woven into the DNA of our internal communications.
  • Develop employee communications that are innovative, fresh, engaging and reflect the company’s brand and stakeholder’s voice. Ensure all internal communication products are of the highest quality and are properly coordinated, advising stakeholders on timing and frequency of communications to ensure effectiveness.
  • Lead the monthly all-hands staff meeting program content design process and act as meeting host. This includes creating and editing presentation content and working closely with the Corporate Systems team on technology needs.
  • Support the creation of meaningful and engaging content for ARC’s employee newsletter.
  • Manage and measure corporate internal communications channels including internal electronic newsletters, “All Hands” meetings, corporate intranet, social media, etc.
  • Build strong relationships and networks with internal stakeholders and partners.

You'll Bring These Qualifications

  • Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of five years of employee communications experience. Experience creating communications plans and deliverables including (e.g. articles, presentations, talking points etc.).
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways. Experience with or knowledge of AP writing style.
  • Ability to take initiative to build strong, productive, and trusting relationships with all levels of an organization.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, team player, dynamic, creative with ability to work on own initiative and think critically.
  • Must have intellectual curiosity, resilience, resourcefulness, and strong consensus-building skills.
  • Familiarity with communications trends and industry techniques, including new media; proficient with current communication platforms and collaboration tools.
  • Motivated self-starter requiring moderate to minimal direction with the ability to work effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Intranet design and content management software (e.g., SharePoint, etc.) and experience helping to manage company SharePoint intranet set.
  • MS Office Suite, and experience working with Canva.com to create graphics and designs for internal communications plans etc.
