Salary Range

$84,000.00 - $110,000.00

Job Description

Reverb’s Employee Communications Manager will draft key internal announcements and create communication systems to empower our team with a deep understanding of our business that allows them to be successful and engaged in their roles. Our ideal candidate will bring empathy, integrity, and excellent communication skills and will build alignment, culture, and community by sharing our strategy, values, and work internally. The Employee Communications Manager will also play a key role in Reverb’s employer branding strategy, working closely with the Talent Acquisition team to plan and draft external communication targeted to prospective employees.

This position is a hybrid position based in Chicago, IL office and will report to our Chief People Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communications that align with Reverb’s priorities and engage a global, company-wide audience, both live and async
  • Draft, edit, and publish key internal and external announcements, including developing written and verbal communications for Reverb’s intranet, employee newsletter, and all-company meetings
  • Ensure internal and external communication aligns our brand goals and messaging
  • Manage internal communication responses to crisis situations that affect brand perception, employee engagement, and reputation
  • Advise company leaders on how to effectively lead and communicate through change.
  • Own our communications calendar and cadence, working with teams to pace out their communications and events to improve uptake and engagement.
  • Build upon Reverb’s employer brand by securing local and national promotional opportunities and drafting and editing materials, such as written media interviews, speaker prep documents, and award submissions
  • Collaborate with the Leadership and People team to ensure our organization understands Reverb's strategy and initiatives
  • Developing creative ways to measure the effectiveness of and improve our internal communications.
  • Support People team in project management by ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational objectives

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in roles with a heavy focus on internal communications, corporate communications and/or branding.
  • Impeccable writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate information to multiple audiences and passion for finding new and innovative ways to effectively connect with large, globally distributed and diverse groups of people.
  • Strong critical thinking and relationship building skills and a high level of emotional intelligence to your work
  • Ability to quickly grasp and synthesize sophisticated issues and comfort working with confidential information and across priorities
  • Having strong organizational and project management skills and being adept at handling multiple complex projects simultaneously and independently.
  • You are passionate about contributing to a marketplace that serves the creative community! You care deeply about the customer experience!
  • Experience with any or all of event production, video editing, and graphic design

Additional Information

Remote-eligible roles (as indicated in the location header of each job description) are available in all U.S. states except Alaska and Hawaii. Remote roles are currently only available within the U.S. unless otherwise specified in the specific job description.
