This position plays a key role in supporting the Chamber’s Marketing Communications initiatives to drive engagement with internal and external brand audiences including curating content for all media channels, managing content updates for web and social media, and coordinating production for digital assets as required for creative projects and the Chamber’s events and programs.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Position the Chamber to a New Generation by communicating effectively & telling our Chamber’s Mission-Work Stories in multiple channels.
  • Optimize communications with the Smart Brevity Platform to deliver Target Audiences engaging content efficiently across all internal and external channels.
  • Project management to ensure on time, on budget and on strategy delivery of projects and deliverables.
  • Track, analyze and report metrics for content across multiple channels.
  • Wrangle/write content for web event pages, track event sponsorships (reviewing sales reports and event/trade agreements) to ensure updated and accurate event pages and coordinate the internal web content proofing and approval process.
  • Manage content and updates to the Chamber’s website and blog including regular testing of links, tracking creative “switch-outs” to promote upcoming events and programs, and planning/tracking content updates for stakeholders’ website sections.
  • Research and secure content to develop and evolve the online Small Business Toolkit as a valuable resource for Chamber members.
  • Assist with pre-production for creative assets including securing/producing sponsor logos in the right file formats, loading digital assets in CRM/CMS and organizing assets in the Chamber’s digital library.
  • Publish Member and Chamber news articles to the Chamber’s website.
  • Provide post analysis of reach and engagement for select content promoting sponsors and partners.
  • Document marketing communications team’s member contacts in CRM to create a record of marketing communications support for retention purposes.
  • Create and implement Chamber’s Social Media Calendar to align all internal divisions and ensure growth in audiences, reach and engagement.
  • Assist with researching content for weekly eNews mailings to members and editing articles for the Chamber’s blog, including member feature stories and testimonials.
  • Ensure the continuity of Chamber’s branding, style and voice in all communications.
  • Track trade agreement advertising schedules to ensure partners’ advertising support is run timely and accurately.
  • Update advertising tracking spreadsheets to traffic advertising sold in eNews, publications and social media campaigns.
  • Assist the Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications with advertising planning and execution for the Chamber’s annual Media Plan.
  • Collaborate with Membership Services team to produce compelling sales collateral content and maintain updates, including member success stories for publication.
  • Coordinate internal printing projects, e.g., newsletter inserts, event and sales collateral support, and assist with monthly newsletter deliverables as needed.
  • Organize and maintain project files for the marketing communications division.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry changes.

  • Minimum Job Requirements:

    Education: Degree in Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing or Public Relations


    Experience: Five (5) years of related experience.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    Computer Skills: Knowledge and experience working with HTML, CRM/CMS and content creation tools preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Adobe® Creative Suite, SEM/SEO/SMM a plus.


    Creativity: Requires excellent marketing communications skills including the ability to write, edit and proof written content. Must be adept in social media platforms.


    Critical Thinking: Knowledge of marketing communications & promotions required. Must possess above-average time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
