We have an exciting opportunity for a DEI Coordinator in the Philadelphia office at Stradley Ronon. Reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer, this role is instrumental in advancing Stradley’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Firm. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DEI principles and practices, along with the ability to develop and implement initiatives that promote a culture of belonging and respect.


Responsibilities:

  • Supports implementation of all DEI programs and initiatives.
  • Assist in DEI research, coordination and deployment of resources, communications, and trainings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on strategic planning for the Firm’s overall DEI policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to promote and celebrate diversity and cultural events across the firm.
  • Conduct research on best practices and emerging trends in DEI, contributing to the continuous improvement of DEI initiatives and programs.
  • Work closely with Marketing, HR, and other internal partners on DEI related initiatives.
  • Assist with the coordination of community outreach and partnership initiatives aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion externally.
  • Act as a representative of the DEI Committee on internal administrative projects and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate all DEI committee meetings and strategy meetings including scheduling, taking minutes, drafting agendas and handling action items.
  • Host monthly introduction meeting with all new hires.
  • Strengthen relationships with DEI-related organizations, attend programs, develop joint programming, negotiate sponsorships, and facilitate attorney participation.
  • Implement Stradley’s diversity newsletter and regularly update the new Intranet.
  • Partner with Marketing to draft diversity press releases, blog posts, etc.
  • Coordinate and plan diversity events throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with engagement groups on diversity measures by providing administrative support and assisting with event planning.
  • Assist in the development of DEI materials, resources, and toolkits.
  • Act as primary point of contact for guest speakers and coordinate travel arrangements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • 2+ year(s) of legal or professional services industry experience;
  • Independent, self-starting, and self-motivated;
  • Superior written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment are a must;
  • Tech savvy with experience sending Google forms;
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills;
  • Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Office and PowerPoint;
  • Flexibility to travel and work evening hours at times as needed.
  • Knowledge of DEI approaches and solutions.
  • Deep commitment to discussing, integrating, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
