Business Growth Services (BGS) Communications Intern
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team as a Business Growth Services (BGS) Communications Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Assist in coordinating and organizing meetings, webinars and other events ensuring all logistical requirements are met
Prepare meeting materials including agendas, presentations and any necessary handouts
Support the setup and management of virtual meetings and webinars
Assist in capturing and documenting meeting minutes
Assist in data-related tasks such as updating database
Managing articles for newsletter
Assist in report writing
Qualifications
Requirements
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week, based on class schedule
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks
Must be comfortable using remote conferencing applications such as Zoom, Teams and Webex
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Canva
Knowledge of Smartsheet
Schedule
Ability to work on-site at LCCC in Desich Business & Entrepreneurship Center(DEC)
Ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week (schedule is flexible based on student availability)
This opportunity is available for summer and fall semester 2024 with potential to extend into future semesters
