Our Minneapolis group is the SPEC MIX brand manager and developer—it’s our core mission. We are constantly searching for innovative, cool ways to promote our brand, products, and the onsite craftsmen and women building our homes and cities. One of our greatest passions is pouring extensive time and resources to promote workforce development in the masonry industry. Respectfully, no other organization does it better. This initiative is driven by the SPEC MIX Bricklayer 500®, a 12-month campaign that after 22-years is now the largest construction trade event in the world.


About You:

  • degree required with 1-3 years of experience in marketing is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
  • experience as an Executive Assistant or in other project/people management positions.
  • new software systems and products/cloud tools with ease.
  • are trustworthy and have demonstrated that you can manage a busy, time sensitive schedule— we function like a marketing agency so there’s never a dull moment.
  • writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • love working in the details of brand building and are a solution-based, creative thinker.
  • to plan, prioritize, and support multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • to work collegially and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • work well independently with minimal supervision.
  • are patient with yourself and others, committed to doing things successfully, not just quickly.
  • take pride in being a great teammate and supporting others.
  • take ownership of your work and the brand you’re building.


Responsibilities


  • role will work closely with the Vice President and marketing team to generate business development and engagement related activities including strategic planning; document production; database management; event coordination and other administrative/marketing duties as assigned.
  • as the primary point of contact for the organization’s customers, production facilities, as well as sales and marketing teammates.
  • with event management responsibilities such as logistics coordination and ordering & fulfilment of marketing collateral.
  • with creation, development and management of marketing collateral, point-of-sale/POP and promotional gear.
  • role in mass e-communications/mailings to customers database (e-newsletter).
  • and coordinate event schedules including tradeshows, experiential marketing events, innovative dealer display systems and campaigns.
  • support 10+ Regional Managers with sales & marketing support materials and special event planning.
  • and update business development database and prepare reports for review.
  • in team calls, meetings, and special projects.
  • improve company processes, standards, and culture.


Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • project management skills including ability to create action plans where timelines are required.
  • to function independently, demonstrate flexibility and can prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
  • written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organization and customer base.
  • business acumen and excellent people skills are crucial.
  • to exercise discretion and judgement when working with confidential material is imperative.
  • to anticipate and resolve complex issues with excellent judgement.
  • attention to detail and organizational skills is essential.
  • competency in Microsoft Office, e-marketing communications software (i.e., Mail Chimp), and knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp—or similar 3D modeler.
