Assouline is looking to add an Associate Digital Editor to its new Digital Content team, who can write and produce engaging design and lifestyle content for its online channels. The ideal candidate for this role creates clean copy quickly, has strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Produce editorial content for Assouline’s digital platforms including a new content platform, podcast, e-commerce site, social, and newsletter.

· Write and refresh content according to SEO guidelines, responding to trending and evergreen keywords.

· Work with print editors and photo teams to identify, adapt, and track content for digital use.

· Pitch, package, and write lifestyle and culture-related features and roundups.

· Collaborate with Partnerships team on branded content opportunities.

· Meet all assigned deadlines and KPIs, such as content volume, audience engagement, time spent, etc.

· Develop meaningful industry contacts and awareness of culture and trends.

· Additional projects and duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· 2-3 years of relevant experience with a luxury lifestyle brand or media publisher.

· Impeccable editorial judgment, writing skills, and ability to create unique content that scales.

· A passion for culture and knowledge of key figures and trends.

· Proven ability to work independently, quickly, and efficiently with an eye for detail.

· Expertise with various publishing tools and spreadsheets.

· Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, and Canva.

· Demonstrated ability to anticipate and communicate potential issues.

· Organized with strong attention to detail.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate regularly across teams, as well as with business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary of $70,000 annually. Please note that the forgoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
