Part Time Idaho Preferred Project Assistant

The Idaho State Department of Agriculture is currently recruiting for a Limited-Service, Idaho Preferred Project Assistant in the Marketing Division.

This position is LIMITED-SERVICE and PART TIME with an average of 19.9 hours per week. The length of a limited-service appointment is determined by the availability of funds such as grants and/or timeframes such as pilot projects or program termination. This particular position is funded through USDA Specialty Crop Block Grants and dedicated to the Idaho Preferred program.

Example Of Duties

  • New Member Onboarding Tasks
  • CRM System Updates
  • Website Maintenance – member pages, landing pages, blog posts, product categories, guides, directories etc.
  • Research for Directories, guides, blog, and social media content
  • Copy writing for blogs, social media, newsletter copy and other information relating to specialty crops.
  • Content and graphic development for brochures, flyers, digital content, etc.
  • Community Calendar Event Updates
  • Convert Social Media Content to Blogs
  • Pinterest Pins and Updates
  • General Idaho Preferred Email Correspondence
  • Campaign Roll Out Support and Outreach
  • Seasonal Event Support
  • Site and Photo/Video Scheduling

Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Using computer applications software for collecting data and making statistical calculations to include quantitative analysis
  • Developing written reports and making oral presentations
  • Creating digital graphics using Adobe Suite Products

Specialty Area:This qualification is a mandatory requirement.

  • Good knowledge of domestic marketing practices.

Desirable Qualifications: These qualifications are not required; however, if you have the related background it may increase your score.

  • Experience coordinating events, education workshops or participating in trade fairs or exhibitions.
  • Experience using at developing website content and updates
  • Good knowledge of marketing principles (sales, public relations), including social media, digital marketing, advertising and research methods.
