Position Summary
The Graphic Designer position is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The designer must have a strong understanding of aesthetic design concepts, pre-production file preparation, layout design, branding, logo design, photography, color theory, be able to think outside the box, strong hand skills, and computer technical skills. The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating 2D graphics for 3D renderings, laying out DXF files for the Engineering Department, cutting vinyl, laying out visual sales presentations, checking Pantone colors, photographing prototype fixtures, and creating monthly newsletter layouts.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engaging graphic content for company-wide communications, including newsletters, emails, announcements, and digital signage, ensuring they align with our brand standards.
- Create dynamic and visually appealing graphics and multimedia content for our social media platforms, tailored to engage our audience and enhance our online presence.
- Uphold and evolve the company's brand standards across all internal and external visual communications.
- Work closely with the internal communications team and social media managers to brainstorm and conceptualize design ideas that effectively convey key messages and stories.
- Stay up to date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies, applying them as appropriate to keep our content fresh and engaging.
- Develop and execute innovative video content strategies for various platforms, including social media, internal communications, and marketing campaigns, aligning with our brand's visual identity and messaging goals.
- Design and produce engaging graphics, animations, and visual effects for video projects, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and project objectives.
- Keeping up with emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, and Acrobat
- Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, engineers, and senior staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position does not have direct reports.
Position Requirements
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
- Must be proficient in video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro) to edit footage, add audio and visual effects, and finalize content for publication.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of Photography is a plus.
- Associates degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 2-3 years’ professional graphic design experience preferred including combined internships or substantial project work during education that demonstrates relevant skills and creativity.
- Proficiency in design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- A strong portfolio that showcases a range of projects, including both digital and print design. The portfolio should reflect a good understanding of design principles, creativity, and problem-solving through design.
- Must be able to travel regionally up to 25% of the time or as required
- Varying work schedules based on business need are sometimes required
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard
- Ability to read a variety of materials
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to carry and lift materials up to 25 lbs.
