Digital / Social Producer

In search of Social/Digital Producer to assist with content creation, community management, social growth and brand partnership promotion for a political news show. The preferred candidate has at least two years of experience in creating social media and digital content. Please provide links to content you’ve created in the past.

The ideal candidate for this position will:

• Produce high-quality content and perform daily management and publishing on multiple social platforms. Includes screening footage, simple video editing and graphic design.
• Monitor social brand channels, as needed, ensuring that content sparks maximum engagement and increases audience.
• Assist with on-set capture of content, script writing, photography, behind the scenes filming, etc.
• Use internal and external social analytics and other internal data to inform strategy and creative; working with our team on best digital programming practices.
• Develop the user experience by maximizing text stories, video, photos, social embeds and other tactics.
• Have a passion for social media, pop culture, politics and news. 
• Prioritize time based on the news cycle, metrics, social trends, platform and audience.
• Ensure that content grammar and style is seamless, including upholding copyright and usage standards and ensuring headlines are maximized for readability and sharing.
• Have experience writing a newsletter.
• Have a fundamental understanding of podcasts and live streaming.

Job Requirements - Desired Skills and Experience:

• A.A. or Bachelor's degree in journalism, film, fine arts, media arts, communications, marketing, public relations or equivalent.
• Demonstrate management of social media, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube.
• Basic graphics & video editing experience using Photoshop/Canva and Premiere Pro.
• Demonstrate experience using digital and social analytics tools.
• Obsessed with politics, social trends, best practices, engaging short-form video content, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable, professional and confident communicating with high-profile talent on set.
• Must have the appropriate at home tech set up to handle large file downloads, uploads and live streams.
• Extremely organized, paying close attention to detail.
• Creative problem solver, managing A/B testing to effectively optimize our social media presence.
• Must live in Philadelphia or be willing to relocate! This is a hybrid-remote position. While the show is filming you will be required to be on set.
