ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATION / Caldwell

  • Plan and implement (within the CRDC Strategic Planning process) effective Community Relations strategies, to provide awareness within all of our constituent communities.
  • Provide day-to-day management for the organizations Community Relations activities, including implementing strategies, coordinating related organizational activities. events and representing the organization to the public as required.
  • Assist the Communications Team, CEO, and Director of CRDC in developing statewide, regional, and local connections with the public, government officials (as appropriate) and other significant supporters.
  • Assist/lead with the Communications Team the creation of messaging strategies and content related to community relations, support fundraising campaigns, and giving campaigns, as appropriate and approved special events (both internally events and externally sponsored events
  • Work with Communications to create and manage (within the goals of the CRDC Strategic Plan) website, social media, and marketing efforts as related to Community Development and Outreach
  • With Communications develop and manage all communications/publication needs of support our community profile, including the Corporate Newsletter, Annual Report and other documents as requested
  • Working with the Director of CRDC, to create a CC Idaho branded recognition group for high level supporters, and significant community partners.
  • Develop the NEON One (or other CRM) to standardize data entry and donor/giver records, developing processes to analyze, validate and otherwise maintain supporter/community constituent data.
  • Develop standardized communications/response processes for acknowledging supporters, annual ticklers, linking all levels of constituents to organizational areas of priority.
  • Work to identify and develop potential community focused opportunities; develop stringent protocols related to our CRM management, safeguarding the integrity and security of our constituents’ records and integrating our data-base information/tools within all of CRDC.

  • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field
    • Ability to read, speak, and write in both English and Spanish in a business setting
    • Two years in the development field and preferably non-profit experience
    • Knowledge and skills in Community Relations, Constituent Development, and event management
    • Ability to develop with the Communications Team appropriate communications, publications, brochures, and other related materials for donor Community Relations and Outreach
    • Sales/marketing experience preferred
    • Ability to work within a Team driven environment, will also be while also being able to work independently, and act strategically
    • Detail oriented and familiar with data-base management such as NEON One or other CRM products
    • Organized, efficient and self-driven/motivated
    • Ability to read, speak, and write in both English and Spanish in a business setting preferred
    • Ability to travel frequently and overnight both in-state and out of state
    • Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
    • Must pass a background check
