Account Manager (Digital & Social Media)


We are Rachel Harrison Communications (RHC), a creative communications agency headquartered in New York with offices in Los Angeles and London. We specialize in PR, social media management, and content creation for spirits, destinations, hotels, restaurants, and bars. 


We are seeking a dynamic digital native with 3-4 years of experience working in a social media-focussed role and is passionate about spirits, bars, restaurants and hospitality. The role is based in New York but works with clients from around the world including Japan, London, Amsterdam and Croatia. The right person will be comfortable delivering full-service social media management as well as be adept at balancing the strategic, tactical, and innovative and proactive client services. The role will be working with our spirits clients, from globally-celebrated rums and tequilas to start-up vodkas and bourbons.


We’re looking for someone who would like to assist us with:


  • Manage the development of creative and impactful content calendars month-to-month
  • Act as day-to-day client contact for a selection of accounts
  • Manage photoshoots and content generation for clients and liaising with third-party creators where necessary
  • Seek out creative ideas and inspiration and cultivate content opportunities for client and owned channels
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for clients and new business pitches
  • Delegate effectively, setting clear expectations and deadlines to junior team members
  • Support our influencer specialist with campaign development, list creation, pitching, and communications
  • Manage quality of work on multiple accounts with professionalism and support team leaders
  • Supports new business proposals with research, brainstorming ideas, and proposal creation
  • Provide comprehensive analytical reports on social media performance, inclusive of organic, paid, and influencer relations


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Ideally in marketing or an adjacent field
  • 3-4 years of experience in digital marketing and social media management, agency preferred
  • Experience within spirits, hospitality or travel is a major plus
  • Strong and confident copywriter 
  • Excellent eye for visual detail
  • Experience using social media schedulers and analytics tools is a must
  • Experience with professional photography/videography and/or content creation is a major plus
  • Experience using Canva and video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.) is a major plus
  • Experience with Later.com & Mailchimp is a plus
  • Experience with Meta Business Manager and paid social media marketing
  • Experience with influencer marketing, influencer communication, and influencer marketing tools
  • Experience with email and newsletter marketing is a plus
  • Ability to keep on top of multiple accounts with ease and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and follow-up skills
  • Effective organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage a junior team as a mentor & delegate work effectively
  • Lead by example; demonstrate a proven strong work ethic
