As our Event Experience Intern , you'll spend the 2024-2025 NBA Season support ing the Event Management & Guest Experience Teams to deliver exceptional experiences for our staff, guests, and clients.

About the Internship:

  • Internship Duration: August 2024 to April 2025, with the potential for an extension.
  • Part-time commitment: Expect to work an average of 28 hours per week.
  • Location: Portland, Oregon; this is an on-site role, not remote.
  • Industry: Dive into the dynamic world of Sports & Entertainment, gaining exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into what it truly means to be part of the team behind the team.

As o ur Event Experience Intern , you will:

  • Coordinate, source & order program materials.
  • Maintain inventory of all event experience materials and partner with key staff to manage needs.
  • Assist with implementation of customer & client experience strategies (surprise & delights, celebrations, service recovery, gifting, event-specific enhancements, etc.)
  • Support day-of event and game experience activations.
  • Research customer insights from survey data, post-event staff feedback and industry trends to make recommendations to continuously improve our offerings.
  • Curate and distribute the Part-Time Event Staff Newsletter.
  • Support staff milestone & achievement celebrations.
  • Track & communicate experience metrics and staff shout outs to PT team members through pre-shift packets, break rooms, newsletter, trainings, etc.
  • Proactive, professional communication both before, during and after events to ensure seamless execution.

  • Are in the process of or have recently obtained a degree in Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related degree with transferrable skills.
  • Highly organized & detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work and problem-solve both independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proficient with time management
  • Customer service, hospitality , or event experience required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential.
  • Represents the Trail Blazers brand and values by upholding quality standards emphasizing proactive communication and professionalism.
  • Are available to work a flexible schedule, including office hours, Rose Quarter concert/events , other evenings and weekends.
