JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for the full cycle movement of personnel, and creating personnel records as detailed below. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. The Human Resource Coordinator protects the confidentiality of employee information, as well as protecting access to personnel records, at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
HR Help Desk: primary responsibility for triaging calls and emails coming into the HR Help Desk. Answers routine questions with professional, courteous replies via phone and email. Routes messages as needed to subject matter expert within the HR team or other departments if necessary.
Onboarding: ensures initial onboarding of all new hires, travelers, and students; enters new hire data into all relevant applications (e.g. UKG, BusinessPlus, Relias). Creates photo ID badges; grants and/or requests building access as appropriate. Helps guide new hire through orientation steps.
Internal Transfers and Terminations: Processes movement utilizing the PAF. Based on PAFs, process terminations notifying all relevant parties in a timely manner to discontinue access, process final pay, remove from relevant applications (e.g. UKG, BusinessPlus, Relias), etc.
Relias Super User: Maintains the hierarchy functionality of the Learning Management System (LMS); trains new managers on use of the LMS system; assigns appropriate access to the system as needed; provides technical assistance to users when necessary. Uploads new training content including posttests for training assignments. Assigns and maintains annual and miscellaneous/ongoing training assignments for all staff using the LMS system, and tracks course completion. Create and distribute ad hoc training completion reports as requested.
Additional Monthly Reporting: upload current employee roster into Verify Comply; enter data into the Bureau of Labor Statistics platform; generate birthday and work anniversary lists for inclusion in the CHN Newsletter; create birthday cards for SLT signatures; produce quarterly OIG reports; calculates turnover report on a monthly basis; provides traveler details by department and reconciles all headcount.
Other duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the department and organizational performance in accordance with Curry Health Network’s Mission, Vision and Shared Values.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Three (3) years of prior experience working in an office environment is required.
- Prior experience working in a hospital or other healthcare organization is required.
- One (1) year prior experience working in Human Resources is preferred.
- Knowledge of DNV regulatory requirements for personnel files is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills are essential to this role.
- Excellent time- and priority-management skills are required.
- Must be goal oriented with attention to detail.
- Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently; excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Must possess qualities related to respect for the rights and confidentiality of others.
