Gradiant Corporation is looking for an Investment Analyst to join the Woburn based team. This role includes many responsibilities such as fundraising, investor relations and ESG initiatives. The analyst will assist in preparing financial models, analyzing financial data, organizing pitch materials, conducting market research, while also supporting the day-to-day activities related to shareholder engagements. The Role
Fundraising Support:
- Assist in the preparation and refining of financial models and forecasts to support fundraising efforts
- Develop pitch materials and conduct market research to communicate the company’s value prop, project pipeline, and financial performance, among others, to potential investors
- Maintain and update a centralized data room, organizing essential documents and follow-up inquiries for seamless investor access during fundraising rounds
- Manage, prepare, distribute, and track legal documents during financings, including DocuSign workflows and compiling signed PDFs
- Coordinate relationships with third party research and diligence consultants
Shareholder Engagement:
- Respond to quarterly and year end shareholder reports
- Draft updates and quarterly newsletter for shareholders
- Organize and maintain legal agreements, contracts, and corporate governance documents
Market Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry benchmarks to inform investment strategies and decision-making
- Evaluate potential investors, analyzing their fund history, mission, investment philosophy, and track record to assess alignment with the company’s strategic goals and values.
Valuation Analysis:
- Conduct quantitative analyses to support strategic decision-making and guide investment scenarios
- Analyze the performance of comparable public water companies
- Gather and organize necessary documentation to facilitate 409A valuations
Sustainability Reporting:
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to collect and analyze ESG data
- Contribute to the annual ESG Impact Report
- Research and monitor ESG trends and reporting frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in math, science, engineering, economics, environmental science, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or technical role. Recent graduates will be considered
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- A passion for the environment and the natural world, and a commitment to Gradiant’s mission to solve global water challenges
- This role includes some domestic and international travel
- Must be available for 3 days in office/week
