The Sycamore School is seeking a part-time (20-30 hours a week) Marketing Specialist. This person will be responsible for creating, implementing, managing, analyzing, and modifying the school’s marketing strategy. Tasks include creating and implementing a strategic marketing plan, advertising placement, blogging, campaign monitoring and reporting, graphic design needs, monthly and weekly newsletter distribution, SEO, and social media management and content creation.
The position could grow and evolve into a full-time position as the school expands. Some on-site work is required, but this could be a hybrid position. Please provide a cover letter
Responsibilities:
- Setting short and long-term marketing goals that align with the school’s mission and vision
- Managing an integrated marketing and communications approach for school-wide initiatives
- Increasing school interest, attendance at events, and admissions applicants
- Point person for internal and external school communication
- Running social media
- Creating and distributing an internal weekly newsletter and external quarterly newsletter
- Community outreach
- Building and maintaining our school brand
- Publicizing and promoting school events
- Budgeting and allocating funds for marketing projects
- Overseeing all photography and video
- Graphic design
We are looking for applicants with:
- Experience managing marketing budgets and advertising campaigns.
- Ability to generate and analyze reports to make strategic marketing decisions.
- Proficiency with vital marketing tools, like Google Analytics, WordPress, MailChimp, social media platforms, etc.
- Excellent writing skills across a wide range of content (e.g., press releases, blog posts, email, and social media content)
- Experience managing a content calendar
- Experience with graphic design
- Experience planning and executing email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
- Bonus if applicant has prior private school or non profit experience

Education and other qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution with an emphasis on Marketing, Sales or Communications
- Prefer three years prior experience in marketing, advertising and/or social media management
