The Role

Role

As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will play a crucial role in executing our marketing and communications strategy. Key accountabilities of the role include:

Marketing

Collaborating with the Grow, Support, and Win teams to create and implement marketing campaigns for ongoing projects.
Developing and executing a marketing and communications strategy to engage with clubs, Discover Sailing Centres, class associations, members, and stakeholders.
Promoting participation in sailing and Australian Sailing activities.
Managing and scheduling regular e-newsletter campaigns.
Overseeing the development and management of a comprehensive content calendar for EDMs, social media, websites, and other media activities.

Communications

Creating and maintaining a content calendar integrated with Australian Sailing communications.
Sourcing, preparing, and uploading engaging content across Australian Sailing’s digital platforms, requiring sailing knowledge and multimedia editing skills.
Producing and managing video and graphic content for Australian Sailing channels.
Cataloguing and storing photo and video content for internal and external use.
Monitoring and reporting on website and social media metrics.
Coordinating communications before, during, and after Australian Sailing events, including EDMs, media releases, and social media.

Qualifications & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or sport management preferred.
Experience in communications, digital, or club engagement roles would be highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of paid media, marketing tools, and analytics.
Proficient in web-based IT packages, image and video editing, and graphics software.
Exceptional planning, time management, and attention to detail.
Proactive team player, willing to work flexible hours including occasional weekends or evenings.
Ability to work under pressure and travel to events as needed.

Remuneration

A competitive package including superannuation and flexible work arrangements will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Location

Flexible, with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth and Darwin.
