Summary: This position supports the Marketing department, assisting with various marketing projects and activities with the objective of achieving sales & marketing goals. Organization skills, communication skills and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must demonstrate drive for learning, for continuous improvement and for achieving results, with creativity, self-motivation, good business acumen and attention to detail. Core areas of responsibility include the support and direct coordination of various Marketing projects and services, including marketing communications, advertising, web development, social media support, sales and product training development, marketing collateral development and distribution, along with sales support. Collaborates with Sales and Technical Application and other related departments and functions, as well as outside agencies, to ensure marketing projects are kept on-track and executed in disciplined manner and all parties are maintained aligned and are kept well informed. Upholds and complies with policies and attitudes adopted by BakeMark, following the Ways of Working as the guiding principles of best practices, both as process and a cultural guide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated. Exemplify the BakeMark Ways of Working in all aspects of assigned responsibilities, and other duties as assigned.

Supports the development and execution of assigned marketing projects and tasks, specific to the assigned Marketing services, with minimal supervision. Must support the management of projects and tasks in accordance with the BakeMark project management process and actively track progress and adapt, as needed.
Works directly with the Digital Marketing Manager and with 3rd party agencies in support of BakeMark’s digital marketing strategies and campaigns, including website development and social media marketing. Must also maintain web updates and work within the content management system, as assigned.
Manages the marketing collateral and merchandise inventory. Works directly with freelancers and 3rd party agencies to ensure marketing support materials are kept in stock and distributed to Sales. Also supports the development of new marketing materials, including sell sheets, recipe, packaging designs, by utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud apps and working directly with freelance designers. Also leads monthly tracking of collateral usage for reporting to Marketing and Sales.
Works closely with the assigned Marketing lead and with 3rd party agencies to plan and coordinate web-based product training seminars, as well as online training modules to support sales and marketing goals.
Responsible for managing the communications and assets for the Marketing intranet teamsite. Coordinates with other functional administrators to leverage internal marketing communications and file-sharing.
Coordinates the management of BakeMark’s trademark portfolio, by working directly with the assigned law firm to renew existing trademarks and apply for new registrations. Works with the Product Marketing Manager to ensure trademark standards are maintained from a goods and services standpoint.
Manages marketing communications to Sales, through the monthly e-newsletter. Coordinates content development and organizes each issue. Maintains schedule and ensure topics are relevant and the content is informative and complete.
Supports BakeMark Sales teams with requests for product information and documentation, in addition to providing support and guidance for organizing and supporting national and regional trade shows and customer events.
Follows BakeMark’s best practices in Marketing and BakeMark’s Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety rules, as well as takes responsibility for house-keeping and sanitation duties for work area and as assigned

This position does not have direct reports.

Employee must have a valid California Driver’s License and have his or her own method of transportation. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS.) in Business Administration and/or Marketing Management from four-year college or university is required. Must have at least 2 years of experience within the marketing field, preferably in the baking industry and/or a related industry (grocery, foodservice, food/ingredients manufacturing, food/ingredients distribution).

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business news articles, press releases, trade publications, trade journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, marketing copy and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, managers, agencies, vendors, suppliers and customers. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish is preferred.

Work Environment: Must be able to work comfortably in an office setting. Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required, as needed (potentially up to 5%). While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold, hot, wet, dry and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
