Best of Arkansas Sports is the state's most-read independent Arkansas sports media — covering Arkansas athletics with the depth, honesty, and personality that bigger, more buttoned-up outlets don't. More than 729,000 active users through June in 2026, a daily email newsletter reaching 3,100 subscribers at 40-50% open rates, and an emerging short-form video program already drawing as many as 50,000 views per clip.

BOAS is launching its first direct sponsorship program — and looking for the right person to help bring it to Arkansas businesses. Residence in central Arkansas or northwest Arkansas is preferred but not necessary.

The Role

We're looking for a relationship-driven sales rep to introduce Arkansas businesses to one of the state's most engaged sports audiences. This is a flexible, commission-based role you can work around your own schedule — the materials, pricing, and prospect list are already built. We need someone to pick it up, manage the pipeline, start having conversations and closing sponsors.

A great fit for someone with existing relationships in Arkansas media, advertising, or local business who wants meaningful supplemental income without a fixed schedule.

What You'll Do

Reach out to prospective sponsors from a defined list across priority categories
Schedule and lead sponsor meetings
Present BOAS sponsorship packages — Site Sponsor, Newsletter, Video Shorts, and Arkansas Sports IQ
Maintain a steady weekly outreach pace (roughly 20-25 touches per week) and aim for 5-7 meetings each month
Keep a simple pipeline tracker updated and provide a short weekly check-in

Compensation

A base draw plus commission, designed to provide steady income while rewarding results:

15% commission on closed sales up to $50,999 + $500/month base
25% commission on close sales above $51,000 + $500/month base

Pay scales with what you close, up to the program's available inventory.

What We're Looking For

Comfortable picking up the phone or sending an email to start a sales conversation
A good communicator who's credible with business owners and marketing decision-makers
Self-directed and organized — this is a remote, flexible role
Familiarity with Arkansas sports and the local business community a plus
Prior media, advertising, or sponsorship sales experience is the expectation.
