Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to join our team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and event planning within a reputable organization. The intern will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications and assist in various tasks related to content creation, social media management, event coordination, digital design, and more.

Responsibilities:

Write engaging blog posts and press releases to promote BBB initiatives and events.
Assist in the planning, scheduling, and creation of content for social media platforms.
Support in social media metric reporting to track performance and engagement.
Utilize digital design skills to create visually appealing social media posts using Adobe Suite products.
Assist with email building and content creation for marketing campaigns.
Aid in the management of the BBB's newsletter, including content curation and distribution.
Manage the community calendar and ensure timely updates and postings.
Provide support in managing the community board, including responding to inquiries and engaging with members.
Contribute to the planning and execution of trade show events, including logistics and coordination.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for BBB engagement.
Collaborate with team members to brainstorm creative marketing strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Basic knowledge of digital design principles and experience using Adobe Suite products for creating social media content.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and quality.
