Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio (BHGH) is seeking a mission-driven, results-focused professional to join our team as a full-time Marketing Specialist. The Marketing Specialist coordinates all aspects of the communication and marketing presence of Boys Hope Girls Hope, including website and social media. Reporting to the Director of Development & Marketing, this vital role creates alignment around messaging for all stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and the Scholars that we serve. This role is integral in making meaningful connections that amplify the BHGH story, creating opportunities for deeper engagement with target audiences, and expanding the Boys Hope Girls Hope community. One of the most unique aspects of this Marketing role is the opportunity to develop authentic ways to celebrate and acknowledge key stakeholders through stewardship activities.

Responsibilities

Marketing 40%
Manage BHGH digital platforms (websites, social media, etc.)
Engage BHGH stakeholders via digital and print marketing: social media, newsletter, print collateral, website, videos
Design fundraising event collateral including invitations, programs, signage and digital platform
Manage relationships and deliverables from external marketing partners
Maintain a comprehensive marketing and photo file on the BHGH drive
Stewardship 40%
Collaborating with leadership team, develop and implement specific ways to thank and share the impact of gifts made by BHGH’s benefactors and volunteers
Create innovative, dynamic ways to demonstrate the impact of giving to targeted audiences
Assist leadership team with management of donor stewardship activities and special projects as needed.
Communication 20%
Create fundraising appeal themes, messages and collateral to support donor and stakeholder engagement, cultivation activities and special events
Design presentations and reports for program outcomes, fundraising events and special projects
Manage integrity of BHGH brand and messaging guides to staff and stakeholders

Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing and/or Communications area of study

· One to three years’ relevant internships and/or entry level experience

Nonprofit sector work experience preferred
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in coordinating creative marketing initiatives

Critical Criteria

Excellent computer skills; proficient with WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) and all Social Media platforms
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
