Position Description Summary:

The Marketing & Membership Outreach Director is responsible for supporting the Chamber’s programs, events and member outreach. This position supports and reports to the President and is a key function of chamber operations.

Essential Function(s) of the Position:

Support of Chamber events, including registration, coordination and planning. Time flexibility is a must to accommodate occasional morning and evening programs.
Coordination of marketing communications, including weekly electronic newsletter (Constant Contact), social media, e-communications, promotional material and press releases.
Support of membership retention and outreach.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong writing skills, specifically business articles, press releases, minutes, and reports.
Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record-keeping. Experience with Microsoft Office, Facebook, LinkedIn and Constant Contact is preferred.
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Capable of working in a team setting and collaborating on projects.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in the Chamber office, but may at times require off-site involvement. The office is non-smoking.

Compensation:

Salary commensurate to experience.
One-week paid vacation time following 6 months.
Two weeks paid vacation time following first full year.
Health and dental benefit offerings following 6 months.
