Church Communications Coordinator

Hours: ~20/week, Sunday to Thursday 8am-noon
Starting ~ASAP
8+ weeks
Jacksonville, FL (Mandarin area)
Reports to: Senior Pastor

I. Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for preparation of regular church communications
Weekly announcement email
Monthly Newsletter
Basic website updates
Social Media updates

II. Prepare Sunday morning communications

Bulletins
Slides (welcome, music lyrics, announcements)
Brochures
Signage
Photography
Video production as needed

III. Assist as needed in the sound/video booth on Sunday mornings

IV. Create all materials requested by staff in support of their ministries (children’s ministry, student ministry, music ministry, groups & classes, etc.)

V. General administrative support as needed

VI. Attend weekly staff meetings

Skills And Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Writing engages readers and is grammatically faultless
Demonstrates attention to detail
Ability to collaborate, cooperate and function well in a team environment
Professional communicator; proficient in public relations and/or marketing skills
Experience in website maintenance
Demonstrates copywriting and editing skills
General understanding of photography/videography, print production, traditional and digital media
Proficient in technology such as ProPresenter, Planning Center, social media platforms, word processing software, and print applications
