The Content Coordinator assists with locating, summarizing and posting news releases for Clarion Events energy media sites, and also works to support the content creation and delivery efforts of Content Directors responsible for North American energy conferences. Conference attendees and media readers comprise a global audience of engineers and allied professionals in the electric power generation and delivery sectors. Our media sites include Renewable Energy World, Power Engineering, POWERGRID International, and Hydro Review. Our industry-leading conferences include DISTRIBUTECH International, POWERGEN International, HYDROVISION International and GridTech Connect. The Content Coordinator will have specific tasks that include ongoing content sourcing, editing and loading, newsletter assembly, and support tasks to create and deliver conference-related content.

How you’ll make an impact:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage tasks such as loading content at media sites, building newsletters, and sourcing news assets.
Source, write, edit, and post news releases at energy media sites following the direction of senior Content Directors.
Post editorial content on related social media sites and engage with audiences.
Engage with subject matter experts to facilitate the development of articles.
Provide support for media conference content development and delivery as needed.
Ensure alignment between conference marketing and media efforts
Provide editorial support for video, podcast, webcast and related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

BA or BS degree in journalism, communication or engineering preferred.
Minimum one year of experience with content editing and publishing tools
Strong interest in the electric power and cleantech sectors, and in communicating with industry professionals through leading business-to-business (B2B) media platforms.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a multifunctional team in a fast-paced environment
