The Details

The Communications Specialist is a part of the Communications team and will report to the Director, Communications.

Overview of Opportunity

The Communications Specialist brings excellent writing and digital media skills to the Clutch team. The role requires a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail, someone who can work well under pressure, is self-motivated, and excels at meeting deadlines. The Communications Specialist helps craft both internal and external communications with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal and external role-players and must represent the organization well. This person is organized, motivated, thoughtful, and resourceful.

What You’ll Do

Implement a company-wide communications strategy that includes content creation, media relations, copywriting, and social media support.
Research and write press releases, website content, create infographics, draft blog content and develop internal newsletter content.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of Clutch’s policies, principles, strategies, and values, keeping up to date with business decisions and how they impact communications tactics.
Keep an eye on industry trends and identify when/where we should look to adopt new systems and tools to keep communications methods and channels current and relevant.
Manage internal/external communications on multiple communications platforms utilizing respective system requirements (ex: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Yammer, etc.)
Work with internal partners to brainstorm ideas for content that aligns with the company’s strategy.
Track and evaluate results of communications initiatives to help ensure future success.
Adhere to the company’s style guide, ensuring materials produced are high-quality and error-free.

About You (Requirements)

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the communications field.
Proven social media and networking experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Highly computer literate with capabilities in email, MS Office, and related business and communications tools.
High self-motivation with the ability to prioritize work in a remote setting and occasional in-person duties as needed.

Extras we love!

Experience working in a PR/marketing agency or other client service environment.
Knowledge of back-end use of digital tools like SharePoint site development, website CMS systems, or other programs.
Meticulous attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

Predominantly operates in an office environment in a stationary position.
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, calculator, keyboard, mouse, and phone.
May occasionally bend, squat, and need to lift up to 20 pounds.

Compensation Range

$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
