CPH has an opening in our Sanford, Florida office location for the following position:

Communications Coordinator – this position offers the opportunity to engage in challenging work within an award-winning, collaborative architecture and engineering practice. The ideal candidate will have applicable experience in an architecture or engineering firm, or related industry; a positive, can-do attitude; time management skills; and the agility to pivot from one project to the next and back again.

The role manages and coordinates the firm’s internal and external communications efforts for the firm. Develops, implements, and assists with onboarding, training, and team building projects to meet established goals and objectives by CPH’s leadership team. This individual will work closely with the Director of Marketing, Chief Strategy and Success Officer, Human Resources Director, Human Resources Team, and the President/CEO. This role is based in Sanford and reports to the Director or Marketing.

Duties Include:

Pitch and write for a range of business communications tools (press releases, blogs, company website, social media, e-newsletters, video, etc.)
Source stories, interview employees, research and write engaging editorial content.
Produce content to ensure effective communication, persuasive impact, and clarity of message while adhering to brand guidelines.
Works with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials that effectively communicate CPH’s message.
Supports Marketing, Human Resources, and Professional Development team on special initiatives.
Project research such as competition analysis, industry trends, etc.
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or related degree.
3+ years of related experience with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with AP Style proficiency.
Strong verbal and written (copywriting, social media, storytelling, newsletter) communication skills.
Strategic communications planning.
Ability to function in a team setting.
Ability to collaborate with a range of professionals.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, and analytics.
Can-do attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
Excellent organizational skills.
Meticulous attention to detail, quality, and thoroughness.
Strong, positive references.
